Diana Davis Doxey 1938-2020

June 1, 1938 - April 29, 2020

COVID19 impacted all our lives, 

even when you did not contract the virus.  

Diana was brought to the emergency room and was required to go in alone.  

She was not allowed visitors when admitted to the hospital.

When her prognosis was clearly fatal and she would begin palliative care 

the hospital allowed Charles and their daughter Liane to move into her room so Diana would no longer need to be alone.  

The hospital and her doctor were wonderful, doing everything they could 

over the next few days to make her stable enough 

to return home via Home Hospice.

 Diana passed away at home  

with a view of her spring garden and the birds she so loved.

She left us with a twinkle in her eyes,

holding her husbands hand.

Diana's burial is anticipated to take place in the fall of 2021 in Broughton, IL.
